always gets re-written to read his current installed navcore version upon reboots,,,

had bak and bif set as offical navcore, ori as the one im running TT home workedfine, then unplugged to rebbot and then tired again and ttgo bif now shows 8417 instead of 7903

In post 35 you reference nc 8010 & here you reference 7903. Which one are you actually using?

combat goofwing wrote:yes i do thats the message im trying to get rid of, you say the tom tom bif file should have your original/navecore version as the ori should and the bak should have the one you are using

but any time you reboot the device the bif file changes to the navcore you are running i could send you the file if it will help

Next time you might want to use these insructions.

1. To fix TT Home version error.
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7.903
ApplicationVersion=9183
"Save as" ttgo.bak
Disconnect & reboot.

that was my mistake it was 7903 and after eskro's great help i got it sorted and the bif file no longer rewrites and i can access tt home with out the error message about the software

however it did create another issue.Even though tom tom home is patched and maps are all patched and working

when i operate device in tt home its goes through the full device set up process again and again then gets to maps and says non found, i wondered if this was cause it thinks its running 7903 and the 855 maps will not run on that navcore?i

No, you just need a patched 7.903 folder for TT Home.
