hi, i have a problem with 2 tomtom's one is a 520 and other is 630, when i install a truck navcore and a map first time is all ok but after some time (about 20 min.) the device stop responding and after reset it hangs on tomtom logo.
i have tried with navcore 396 and 395 both of them with 845.2649 map . is something wrong with the map ? did anyone have same problems ?

There is nothing wrong with the navcores or map. It's an installation error. It will be very helpful to correct the error, if you post exactly how you installed both.

first time i formated SD and Internal memory, i extracted navcore and copied to SD, same thing with the map, then i pached the map and everything worked fine for the moment, but after some kilometers when i wanted to change direccion i had an error in planning the route.
after a reset hangs at tomtom logo. i tried to put the navcore in internal memory and the map on SD but after a time also failed. it only worked after i deleted the map and copied once again, but after a time did the same. for that reason i wondered if is a map or navcore problem.

Make a backup of your current setup using Windows Explorer.Download the map: You've done this.
Download this navcore:
[Please Register or Login to download file] + the pre-patched ttsystem file.
[Please Register or Login to download file] .
Download
FastActivate ENG 05.11.2010 {1.7} Read the instructions very carefully.
Copy in the new map folder to the internal memory or SD card, your choice. Copy in the Navcore & only the SE ttsystem File from the rar to the same memory as the map. If you choose the card, put a copy of the unit's ttgo.bif file on it also.
Patch the map with FastActivate. Done.
We never recommend formatting the internal memory, except in extreme situations.

well, on my desk now its a 520 and a 930, both are freezing ramdomly, some times they work for days, other times they work for hours.
already tried several, the last try was ( from ttgo.bif
DeviceName=TomTom GO 930
DeviceVersionHW=GO 930
DeviceSerialNumber=
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20100423
BootLoaderVersion=55120
LinuxVersion=521969
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8396
ApplicationVersion=1914
UserLanguage=Português do Brasil
used this setup on both units on last try; now im using this one presented here on the post, if it works, you get my donation :D

Download navcore 8.398:
[Please Register or Login to download file] &
Pre-patched SE ttsystem & PNDNavigatorDownload Truck map:
Europe_TRUCK_880_3845 PW: navitotal
Go here: FastActivate 24.11.2011 {1.8.8.0} Read the instructions. Select the premium version.
Start with your 930 since it has a 4GB memory.
Erase everything on the memory except the ttgo.bif file.
Load your 930 backup, except the old map.
Load the 8.398 navcore, including the pre-patched ttsystem & PNDNavigator files, overwriting any common files.
Load the Truck 880.3845 map.
Run FastActivate per the instructions & only click the map button.
Disconnect & reboot.
You will do the exact same thing with a 4GB SDHC card for your 520.

I had freezing problems on some devices too.
Not sure if here is the same problem but I found errors in the filesystem, a check resulted in several "lost files" being recovered.
All only a bytes in size, so most likely sectors that had benn wrongly addressed.
So it might be a good idea to do a full check on your TT before installing the new stuff.
And keep in mind : never format a TT/SD unless there is no other option left.
