hey guys ive been reading all day but the more i read the less i understand lol, ive got a tomtom xl but the uk maps are outdated and i dont even know where to start lol so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Navcore 9.465.

cheers mate , ive downloaded the Navcore 9.510 from here so do i just move all the contents of the download to root of my tt xl to update the navcore is there a type of installer i need to use?

That would be the easiest way, make sure that you keep your ttgo.bif for the map activation, otherwise you simply start the TT before activating the map.
It will complain about the map but a ttgo.bis is created which you need for FastActivate ;)
