Yup, clever old TomTom. You can ONLY access this through MyTomTom hence we cannot crack it.

That app will let you download and install all the latest maps and updates for your device. In the box you all so get a promotional code. You have to call tech support at 866-486-6866 and give them your code and they can activate the code for you. I was told by the tech support that the server for activating the code online is having problems at the moment. But the tech support took care of it over the phone. Now i have life time maps and traffic for my device. I do not know why some one would want to hack this device you all ready get life time maps and life time traffic.

The only reason why i need to crack it so that i can install Europe / Singapore / Malaysia map on my tomtom... i love drivin in foreign country...:)

Your only option at the present time is to buy the maps you need.

i was playing with a tt via couple days ago and i noticed the ui and the maps look alot better. im using tt 720 right now and was wondering if there is a way to get that same style on my 720. ive already loaded a 9.051 nc i think and using north america 2gb 880, and its already a big improvement from stock however that via interface and maps look sweet!

Hi
I've read this on another thread :
The reason why all of the new TomToms since September 2010 (such as the GO1000 range and all VIA models etc) do not show up as a drive on the computer is because they are using the Linux based file systems instead of FAT/FAT32.

If the filesystem format change is the only reason of crack failure, I wonder if anybody had ever tried GNU/Linux fs driver on windows :

I was speaking to a Tom Tom technician on the phone and i was informed that when plugging in a TomTom Via with USB it shows up as a network card and this is correct as I am using Zentimo to manage my USB items and it does indeed show up as a network card. Hope this helps.

If the change is the FileSystem only, with a linux filesystem, can't it be mounted under a linux distro?
Maybe they changed the software entirely?

Don't you think that after 15 months (since these devices first arrived) that someone would have cracked them by now if it were really that simple?

Live in hope, die in despair.

Really, it's Microsoft 1 Hackers 0 . None of this would have happened if MS hadn't brought a lawsuit over the FAT32 files system that we benefit from. Tomtom were caught in the middle.
