Hi all newbie here please be patient.
I have an old xxl with iq routes. Unfortunately I didn’t make a back up from new.
When I turn it on it asks you to select country etc but when it gets to the time it freezes then reboots
And starts again. It started a while back when on holiday I think there was a voltage spike as I was towing our caravan
at the time and it blue a fuse in the caravan.
I think it may be a navcore problem. I have downloaded all the navcores for the xxl but cannot get it to work.
after I delete the old navcore I am running clear flash befor installing the next navcore.
any help would be great, I have a new start 25 but it dosnt have itinary planning.
The serial starts RW

If there is no hardware problem a fresh install of Navcore and Map on an empty device will fix all issues.

The current navcore for all XXLs is 9.540.2. Let TT Home install it for you. Don't try any others.

Why look for another device before you've finished working on your XXL.
If you don't have some mechanical failure, the XXL is a fine device.
tendriver, one question for you.
I've never come accross navcore 9.540.2 in TomTom Home and also the TomTom site does not mention this version
[Please Register or Login to download file] .
So what's the situation with this version?
Edit: I found some remark of you

update: the old xxl is toast i have tried everything to bring it back to life. i believe it has something to do while we where towing our caravan, something made a fuse on the pcb for the fridge to blow, i believe this is when the xxl died. 99% shore its a hardware fault.

If you want a "new" TT than look for second hand models in the upper class.
Everything with 64mb of RAM and with a SD slot will be fine.
Don't go for the new models as they can not be modified, a GO720 or 730 is a good choice, although there is little to no noticable difference between the 5xx,7xx and 9xx models.

I'm just saying that one should not (necessarily) be concerned with 'just' a navcore version 9.510.
I never encountered NC 9.540 with any XXL or XL.
So, NC 9.540 is a sort of regional version not a default version for the TT models you mentioned.
