TOMTOM XXL 5" GPS MAP 8.95 895 download

I am trying to download this latest map version 8.95

but when I click to download USA map it takes me to a site HENCHfile. do I need membership of that site to download the map?

I am new to this forum. Is there any metafile available also for this map?

Do I need meta file to activate this map?

This file link is dead. Also it is a third party posted link, which Navitotal does not provide help for.
The Navitotal supported maps are in posts 1 & 2 of the All New Maps 895.XXXX thread or posts 2 & 3 of the 895 Map Collections ONLY!!! thread.

But where do I get meta for this. I do not see any meta there. Buy the way meta is basically those HEX number? do I just copy and paste those HEX number?

You list 2 different versions 4444 & 4446. 4446 does not have a meta code & is unusable.

I am new. I never applied META before. But I have updated with newer map and just used the Fast Activation. That is all I did.

But I want to know how to apply meta data, where to apply it after I download the map. Somebody please explain to me. :(

1. Using FastActivate is all you have to do.
2. You applied it when you used FastActivate!!

I have downloaded this file and than copy the meta data to a text file and saved it as .meta file. Than I put it in United_States v895.4444

is this the right way to apply meta? do I need to apply the activation patch after this?

Sometimes I wonder why we have the instructions....
I would help if
a) you read and follow our advise
b) read and follow instructions provided

The files FA uses are the ttgo.bif, the .meta of the map and the meta.txt containing the code(s) - so what exactly made you do saving the data as ".meta file" and more importantly what happened to the original file inside the map?

Note 1: if you have a new meta code what is not in the integrated meta.txt dated (See in program for date of current meta.txt integrated)
You must put all new meta codes in a file named [b]META.TXT and copy it to the Device/SD-Card ROOT Directory or keep it same directory with FastActivate.exe.[/b]

How can it be made any clearer than that so that you are able to follow it?
