I think I had some replies to my plea for help yesterday, but think they have been lost in the restore of the forum.

Whoever was kind enough to respond, would you mind doing so again?

PS - As reminder the TomTom gets stuck at the Flash Screen. Tried everything, reformatting, restoring, clearing Flash etc. Works through Emulator though.

I suspect a faulty hardware as you said a clean install on an empty device without map did not help.
You could try to downgrade the bootloader to 5.5128 to check if your got corrupted somehow but I doubt it.
Emulation is not really helping as here the TT only acts as a card reader.
