[HELP] TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition and PC hanging

Hi,

So after a long time i need to update my tomtom with tomtom home
but the TT home just hangs and i cant use windows explorer too because it freezes.

I need to update device and legit map,
I had a map downloaded from here a long time ago.

So anyway,
I backed everything up and formated my tomtom.
Pc threw all kinds of errors untill it finally formated it.
No errors afterwards.

Press the reset button, connect to PC and turn on - it should connect directly to the PC.
Do a checkdisk of the drive and if present let it correct errors.
Delete the file ttsystem and or PNDNavigator in the root of the device.
Let Home do the update.
Add your map use FastActivate to patch the Navcore and activate the map.

I changed computers and now tomtom is responding but tt home is giving me IO write errors and it cant create install.bif.
(checkdisk was OK)
