I have been given a TomTom xxl With Western and central Europe 2gb maps installed.
These are well out of date i have tried putting in Europe 970.7466 with auto installer but when i fire it up it say you cannot use this map with this device.
Any pointers to what map i can put in.

We really need to know what version of navcore you have on your device before we can diagnose the situation because maps are navcore specific, not device specific.

Run [Please Register or Login to download file] little app and post back the results and we can go from there

I noticed there is map posted for Australia saying version 971_7520

I looked at the chart to see which device the above would support but could not see it.

Would this map be suitable for TomTom XXL 540?

Depend on the navcore and if there is a meta availble (there is a meta). So wich navcore you have.
You can alway,s give it a try it is a small map.

Yes, it'll be fine as it's a limited features map that is ok to use on NC's 7.8xx and above.

It is the latest equivalent to the previous Australia 966.7376
