toyota TNS400 Map activation issue

Postby ravager » Thu Dec 25, 2014 8:52 pm

Morning,

I just recently purchased a 2nd hand toyota that has a tomtom in the cd player.

From reading these forums I believe it is a TNS400.

I have been trying to update the maps on it and I believe I am following the instructions perfectly but from reading some very old threads it sounds like the patcher doesn't patch the navicore correctly on this model so the maps won't work.

There are a posts about a 9.401 fan edition navicore that sounds like it may work but all the links are dead.

Could someone post a live link to this or help me work out which navicore i can download that can be patched on this device so i can install a newer map?

here is the info
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom Toyota
DeviceVersionHW=Toyota
DeviceSerialNumber=N2xxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=80017
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7832
ApplicationVersion=8707
CurrentMap=Australia
CurrentMapVersion=720.1868
Cheers

I have a TomTom Eclipse 2210, which I think is pretty well the same device. I have 7.833 and map 940.5966, so you should be able to use this map. The patcher for 925 and 935 didn't work for me, so I actually paid for the map - let the forum know if the patcher worked for you with the 940 map.

You need a patched Navcore and map with a valid activation.
Patcher did not work is not really a helpful error message.
So that the patcher works a ttgo.bif file and a complete map is needed, for devices that do things a bit differently there is always the option to make a fake ttgo.bif file with the correct device ID on your hard drive, add the map folder and to do the activation there.
Please be more specific about the problem you had with FastActivate, we might be able to help.
