Trojan.Gen.9 in fast activate

Postby cossieg » Sat Mar 17, 2018 11:52 am

Has anyone else had real problems with some of the download links in posts from people? I've downloaded fast activate and my Norton AV deleted the exe file as it said it had Trojan.Gen.9 attached.

I'm using F-Secure and found no problems
How did you download your latest update ?
Due to the structure of some tools used within Fasactivate some anti virus programs give a false warning

Thanks very much. Not sure what the issue is, possibly Norton.

I've now put fastactivate in the root of my Tom Tom 920 and my PC now says it can't run it!! Windows 10 but tried to run it in compatibility mode but no joy.

Anyone else have an answer?

I'm using Windows 10 too without a single problem
Direct on the device or in a folder on my computer

I use McAfee which for a while gave a false positive with FastActivate a couple of years ago, but not lately. However, Microsoft's Windows Defender (in Windows 10) is a pain in the ass when it comes to a lot of unlocking/patching software (particularly key generators). Norton used to be a pain too... that was why I switched to McAfee and have disabled Defender.
