I have just put the truck map on my bro,s tt 520 with the app 9.150 but when I switch map to truck it does not ask for truck dimensions
should it or does it not work with this app.

The Truck 'features' require a Truck Navcore.

9.150 is not a truck navcore. Go here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation Read the instructions carefully. Select this navcore: SE_navcore.8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO-WORK

I have now got the truck nacore working but it is saying that the map europe truck 855.2926 that I have put on does not contain truck attributes and truck touting will not be supported and car routing will be applied does anyone else have this problem or is this not a truck map after all

The Truck maps have a meta & a tmeta file. The Truck attributes are in the tmeta. They both must be patched. Your patcher tool did not patch the tmeta. Repatch the map with Fastactivate or AutoActivate.

I have repatched it a few times now but still saying the same I have the navcore instaled on the tt unit and the maps on a 4gb sd card could that be the reason .
I have also looked for the meta files you spoke of but i can only find the normal meta not the tmeta you spoke of....
oh I forgot to say I have tried both the auto and fast activate ...

1. Put a copy of you units ttgo.bif file on the card, then run the patcher. The 2 metas are in the 855 truck map folder. Named Europe_Truck-193.meta & Europe_Truck-193.tmeta. If they are not there, then you have a corrupt map. 3. Either of the 2 patchers will be fine.

in the map folder there are both Europe_Truck-193.meta & Europe_Truck-193.tmeta but it is still saying the same and if I continue the map works but not routing for a truck!

As I said in post 5, the map is not getting patched. After a sucessful patch, you will have 2 additional files. Europe_Truck-193.meta.dct & Europe_Truck-193.tmeta.dct.

After several goes it worked but now I find the voices have stopped working dunno what I have done to it but it crackled and then there was no sound till I did a reboot it started ok then when I tried the voices it did the same again.............
mind at least the maps working ok now lol....
any ideas would be more than welcome

There are 3 versions of LoquendoTTS voices, 1 version of VocalizerTTS voices and a bunch of premium voices. A little more than "the voices have stopped working" would be more than welcome.

All sorted the voice issue was only down to a low battery as when it is connected to power there all ok..........

Yes as a "get me home feauture" tomtom have this feature to save on the battery that is left when you have a low battery so you can navagate further.
