It is not the GNS or map folder, the "drivers" used are often device specific.
That's wha I said you need all files with "rds" and TMC" in it - have you checked the root and the folder "bin" as well?

worked very good for me on my 550,i did not have to wait 5 minutes.started very quickly
the only problem is that you all know, you have to press the shut down button for 15 seconds
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

An alternative shutdown method I would personally recommend for the x50's is going through Change preferences/Battery saving preferences and untick Device stays on when external power is lost thus it will switch itself off after 10 seconds. Some report that pressing the power button down for 20-30 seconds also works but I've found this just puts it in sleep mode and therefore still drains the battery.

the best method to shut down is to etract the memory card and after that shut down your device

If you do this you WILL corrupt the MicroSD card for sure!

Never, ever remove a memory card with the unit switched on!!

Go through Change preferences/Battery saving preferences and untick Device stays on when external power is lost thus it will switch itself off after 10 seconds.

If you have "Switch off when external power is lost" screen, ensure that it IS ticked. You should, after disconnecting, get a 10 secs countdown

Password; navitotal

Scroll toward the bottom of the LinkSave.in page, that opens, until you see "The visitorpassword that you have entered is wrong" notice.
Below this notice, is a gray box titled Visitorpassword. Type navitotal in the gray box & click enter. The download link/links will be at the bottom
of the page that opens. Use the single downward pointing arrow under the word "Download" to download the map.

Use Winrar to click on Part 1. Winrar will unzip part 1 & all of the other parts at the same time. More instructions are in post 1.
