Typo lol.
I had for some reason 520 constant in my brain thus mention.
I have trained hard for this over a week or so and can say i in no doubt confirm i own a 530 lol.
I have Map Europe TRUCK v905.4798, does this cure some of the issues that are mentioned as regard prior map versions?
I assume from the above post placed by Gezt, it is a map issue not a navcore issue, correct me if i wrong.
Best wishes

it's a map issue, you need to go to map corrections and adjust the weight limit to 50 ton or try and get rid of it altogether and maybe unblock small stretches of the road (seems to happen where it splits for 2 tunnels.just keep trying to route from south of junction 2 to just thru the tunnels to narrow down the problem.(thats the stretch that may have some restrictions that are wrong)
be wary of bridge heights as some are wrong,(not that many so far)

For clarification, errors, like bridge heights etc, are map issues. Performance problems, like instability etc, are navcore issues. It appears that the 9.700 & 905.4798 combination has a bit of both.

Does seem that way td, on the older maps there was always the dartford crossing issue and this is occurring again on the latest map as usual but to a lesser degree.
as for the navcore issues that seems to be all about timing of a route, otherwise it does seem stable enough.
maybe you and downunder should offer your services to tomtom and show them how to do it right.;)

then again we wouldn't want to lose you two from here.

TomTom should be beating a path to their door, but it's to our advantage on this site that they are too stupid to do so.

Working for TT would give access to all we need, but do you really think we could convince them to produce proper Navcores that work good on all devices??
They ignored the complaints not only in the well known forums, but even on their on "support" forum.
TT could render this entire section useless and we could quit our "jobs" here if:
a) they would provide V9 Navcores for all devices, including the oldies
b) they start offering lifetime map updates for a very reasonable price

A won't happen as they prefer to sell new devices, B won't happen any time soon as selling maps is still big business for them.
But with the growing pressure from Google, Nokia and some others that offer maps and software for free the pressure is growing.
Every now and than you see new devices on special with lifetime updates and map prices have dropped a bit in recent years.

There have been attempts to get free software working on TT's, like the Navit project, but noone seems to care :(
As for the truck stuff TT tried a few times to buy into Map and Guide, but were refused.
IMHO the truck NC and map alone is not really enough these days for a dedicated truck unit.
I still miss truck specific POI's like service stations with bed and shower, repair centers and so on.
Most annoying thing is that TT seems to refuse to listen to their customers, otherwise the well known map errors and problems would have been solved long ago.
Logging is only really working with the complete Works pack and users with only a few trucks won't pay for that.
A user should have the ability to use the TT Truck to report back home and to receive new appointments without the need for more expensive soft- and hardware.

Sorry you had a problem finding the Truck 8.398 navcore. It is posted in numerous places throughout the TT Section. Navcores 8 for TomTom Devices and V8 & V9 Navcores to name a couple, plus numerous member generated threads.

Always best bet is to get nc and maps off here ,then you do get full back up and top class support for any problems you may encounter.
i was on a n other forum with these guys and that went down hill, searched the net for td and dw and ended up here, so i was very pleased cos those two may be a tad cutting in some replies, but they must get fed up answering same questions all the time but believe me those guys are the very best on the net.
take time and read all of this thread and the truck map thread and you will be able to just do it. then you will be able to shine by doing the other drivers sat nav. (do charge them a modest fee for your time)
any help i can give is freely available but i am def not as techie/good as the mods here.:bo_mini:

But you do know more details about the truck map, Navcore and the ongoing false restrictions ;)

The link is correct as it points to the 9.7NC inside the Navcore section.
If you can't find our maps I suggest to get familiar with our forum structure as the map threads are really hard to miss.
Instructions are available with the NC download, inside the map thread and our tutorial section.

had another look, still cant see,
link in first post of this thread is : http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?11908-Truck-Navcore-9.700
then in : Truck Navcore 9.700 page, the only links are : http://www.navitotal.com/noref.php?url=http://linksave.in/175740036950e1f5ea3bdd1 , which is a bootloader,
and a link to this page.

doesnt matter anyway.......just wanna clarify for anyone looking for the files.

Maps if anyone cant find http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12214-905-Map-Collections-only!
