2. ive found the correct place for nc, downunder, your link in the first post needs updating.....
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread....mp-V9-Navcores
3. where do i get the maps and is there a tutorial for a noob?

1. What thread is closed??
2. Why does it need updating? It takes you to: Forum, PDA/PNA Navigation, TomTom, Navcores for all Devices, Navcores 9 for TomTom Devices, Truck Navcore 9.700
3. Try the "Latest Europe TRUCK Map" thread. TUT: Download & unzip a new map. Remove the old map folder from device. Copy the new map folder into device. Patch with current version of FastActivate. Map update complete.

2. link in first post of this thread is : http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?11908-Truck-Navcore-9.700
3. then in : Truck Navcore 9.700 page, the only links are : http://www.navitotal.com/noref.php?url=http://linksave.in/175740036950e1f5ea3bdd1 , which is a bootloader,
and a link to this page.

doesnt matter anyway.......just wanna clarify for anyone looking for the files.

4. Maps if anyone cant find http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12214-905-Map-Collections-only!

1. Still can't see what?
2. CORRECT!!
3. Nope the link takes you to "LinkSave.in", then to "filefactory" for a 2 part download of 9.700, not a bootloader. Yes, the second link is to this page.
4. Maps can be found in "General Discussions about TomTom, All New Maps 905.XXXX & Latest Europe TRUCK Map" as well as "Maps v9XX, All New Maps 905.XXXX or 905 Map Collections only!".

it all downloaded for me , admit first couple of times was confusing but when i reread the instructions and followed them on another tab page it worked.to many distractions on that site but then it is free if you have patience.
as for time to arrival, i still think it's out by a long way, getting to destination alot quicker than time displayed.
map is still ok etc and noticed a few updates on new roads.
all in all good but could do better .:clap:

It is very rare that I don't arrive at the planned destination in less time than IQ Routing originally figured. Why?? I tend to drive a bit faster that the posted speed. Of course the time remaining & ETA keep updating as I motor along.

Quick question on this thread as I did not want to start another one.

I had been using a Tomtom go 710 but was having problems with this truck navcore. The 710 seems to have died on me anyway (I'll look into this) which is not surprising given its age and use. I've bought a go 530 series to use with the automated truck navcore 9.700 installer. I am wondering how it works given the 530 has both internal and an SD slot. Will I be able to leave the original Navcore and maps on the internal memory and load the Truck Navcore and maps on the SD card? If so will the go 530 present me with a boot option when the SD card is installed?

If you put the truck map/navcore etc on the sd card you can safely leave the internal memory alone. The truck map will boot off the sd card when you switch on the unit. If you wish to use it for the car just alter the vehicle profile. always best to have the unit turned off when insert/removing the sd card.

If a navcore and map are on the sd card and the card is installed, device will always boot from sd card.

Truck Navcore 9.700 and Europe Truck maps 905.4798 seem to be working fine on my go 530 using the installer. I had tried it on the go 710 but couldn't get the voices to work. I still don't see a voices folder where I can add a few extra, can anyone shed any light on this?

Also, I've left the system file system_5.5279 in the Truck Navcore folder as it is rather than change it to system only. Is there any benefit in changing the bootloader? The internal memory bootloader is version 5.5120.

Thanks

copy the voice file off the sd card in the 530 and paste it onto sd card in 710, thats worked for me in the past.
if the system works ok then leave as is, in other words if its all working fine then don't fix it.
best bet is to keep it simple till all is running fine ,then copy the sd card for backup and then start to play around,that way if things don't work you will still have a working truck map.

INTRODUCTION:
Okay, I updated a fellow's TT XL today with new maps and Downunder's amazing modified NC...
W
Hahaha, we laughed our heads off when approximately one hour of copying files the relative silence was shattered by Downunder's er... Downunder song.

This guy is actually a trucker so he would prefer a truck map.
Which of course is impossible to install on this 2GB XL.

I mentioned that I had an recent advertisment from a supermarket for a TT Go 750 Live at € 80 asking price. And didn't mention the splendid presence of the micro-sd slot !
I have got the same TT and I know it's good. I was thinking of buying this one for my mother.
But I thought this trucker could really put this TT Go 750 to good use with a truck map.

So I told the guy he should give the seller a call, mention the fact that he should buy (!) a new card(s) and push the price down to € 60.
And he succeeded ! Went out to get a 16 GB micro sd card for € 10 and gave the complete package to me in order to update and get the truck map working on it. :-D

Well now...
CURRENT ISSUE:

As I gather I need to use a truck navcore (by Downunder) to install on the TT Go 750.
I thought it would work fine with default NC 9.510 and it starts up fine but reboots after approximately 1,5 minute.
(The 905Chart does seem to indicate that a 4798 map works with all NC's above 9.00.)

With the micro sd removed and a 'normal' map on the TT itself it performs fine.
Hey, I'm a complete noob with this trucker map, navcore and what not...

So I guess something in the map needs a truck NC.
I am downloading Downunder's Truck 9.7 NC at this moment.
Will be firing it up tomorrow make it clear to me what I should do to work it's magic on the 750?
Or are there some considerations I should take into account ?

DeviceVersionHW=GO 750 LIVE
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9510
TTSystem 8212465 bytes, modified 04-05-2013 00:09
BootLoaderVersion=55277
RDS/TMC 'mctx.dat' size 212 bytes
CurrentMap=Europe_South_905_4754

As before, thanks so much for your assistance !
This is a great site with wonderful guidance, information and service.
