Truck navcore 9.700 .cab does not officially support Truck maps with a TT Go 750.

Navcore 9.700 WORK inc. Truck - for Go7000/9000, go520/720/920, Go530/730/930

You quoted Downunder, not TomTom.

Maybe it is worth to update to the 9.701 ?
Usually these low numbered updates fix some issues.

when driving a 44tonner with a 16'1" trailer, i will take the longer route anyday, sometimes it says no truck route found would you like to use car rout instead you only have the option to say yes or it wont give you a route at all, dont worry as it will still route you around low bridges etc.

Im trying to install nc 9.7 into a tt go 730. I came to a Multi install skinnable, which lets me choose:
truck 9.7 patched only
truck 9.7 for GO models
truck 9.7 for 32mb models

etc..etc..

which is the correct one for me?

Okay, back again today with a Go 750 which froze a starting up on boot screen.
Shut down after few minutes.
Problem was removed when sd card was removed and device started normally on internal memory.

However, due to the fact that I used downunder's 9.700 NC instead of the original NC, tendriver suggested to use the original cab and patch that one.

I installed cab NC 9.701 today.
It seems to work fine and all maps are activated and can be selected. But within approx. 1.5 minute the Go750 restarts. Every time at about the same time and with every map.
Then I installed downunder's NC Truck9.701, the Go models installment.
Unfortunately it still restarts after 1.5 minute.
...
Wait a minute (or 1.5) !
I now discover that this only happens when the sd-card is inserted. That is the card with the Truck map.
I deleted everything but the map folder and now it's running stable.
I thought I had to have minimum ttsystem and ttgo.bif on sd card and that it had automatically copies some folders...?
Well, at this point: No problem as far as I can detect.

Tomorrow I will update the maps.

Thanks NT !

With nothing on the SD card but a map, the unit continues to use the internal navcore & all maps are selectable. With a map & navcore on the SD card, by default the device boots & runs from the SD card. Again, all maps are selectable.

Where did you get the goofy idea about having to have minimum ttsystem and ttgo.bif on sd card???

Doesn't it depend on the device? That older devices need a copy of the NC on the sd card in order to work with maps placed there?

I knew I didn't need a complete NC installation on the sd card, but I'd thought I needed at least ttsystem and ttgo.bif in order to patch.

Tell me I'm wrong and I‘ll grovel in shame for six months.

Am running on a One V2 as well as a Go 750 Downunder's recent NC9.701 combo with 910 truck map.
Works as a charm, only restarts when I do that myself.

1. Yes, there are a couple of older models with internal & a card slot that can't talk to each other. So for them, it's either a complete setup on the internal or a complete setup on the card.
2. To patch a map on a SD card not installed, put a copy of the device's ttgo.bif & FastActivate on the card. No ttsystem file is required. To patch a map on a PC, put a copy of the device's ttgo.bif & FastActivate in the map folder.

Oh yeah, I know the mods are knowledgeable.
I profited from it many times.

But being a user keeps me vulnerable to less logical changes between models.

Yesterday, I was surprised by TT's limit of 48 favourites.
Luckily I found out how to make your own POI's to circumvent this limit.
But it's something which could be called less logical. Also the edit method of names is less friendly since you can't jump to a specific spot but you have to backspace to the to-be-edited position.

I have a question for you. If i put this navcore on my tom tom, the standard car Europe map will work? or only the Europe truck map will work?

The maps are the same. it's the parameter you enter which alters the routing. choosing "car" over "truck" just avoids using low bridges/weight/height directions. so just keep same map and alter to which vehicle you are in at that time.no other changes necessary.
