That is correct.

I've used the navcore 9.700 x10 installer on a go 710 and used fast activate on the Europe truck maps v905.4798. Everything boots up and the maps are available but it's telling me the voices are not available. There's no voice folder on the SD card and the sound folder is empty. The only other navcore version I have is 9.485, there is no voice or sound folder with this so I can't copy anything across. Any ideas? I'll try the process again in the meantime.

Well no glaring errors on todays routes, seems quick to replan if you go off route. Have also tried a few "prepare" routes and they work fine.seems 9.700 and 905.4798 work well together.
No issues as yet with mapping but will let you know if i find any in next week or so.

What's this I hear about emulation? I will be installing NC 9.700 with 905.4798 in a 730.

You can make your X30 look & act like a X40 or X50 by altering the ttsystem file. This is done by using a SE pre-patched ttsystem & changing the emulation using a file, or by installing Downunder's mod, with which you change the emu using a special Main Menu page.

There is a bridge height error on all the truck maps including Europe TRUCK 905.4798. It is the railway bridge on the A60 Nottingham Road in Loughborough Liecestershire. The bridge is marked at 14'6" (4.42M) it in actually 14'3" (4.35M). It is easily correctable with map corrections you have to go into (Un)block street for truck. Hope this helps regards tony

When planning routes for truck, routes are sometime longer than needed, planning for cars is really ok.

what on earth do you mean.
A Truck route may sometime be longer than a car route because you will be avoiding things like low bridges/weight limits/width restrictions etc etc but that does not mean that the truck route is longer than needed, it means that the given route is the one best for the vehicle dimensions you have entered.

Means that the route doesn't use shorter tracks without restrictions.
BTW I have checked (simulating a map correction) that roads are without restrictions.

Sorry didn't mean to offend you but it was a general statement which is obvious to most truck drivers.
Truck routing and car routing can and often do use the same routes but as often as not there will be a minor detour now and then.

by the way i check these route etc as i drive them cos i am a truck driver.
