i face something unusual
i have a TT carminat 9844 that could use 8.842 (!)
i successfully tested another card on it with differing ttgo.bif number.

i wanna update it so i do as usual and activate with fastactivate

that leads me to:
To activate go to http://www.ttcode.com

i don't have any product code so i don't know what to do...

has any you ever face the same issue ?

What have you tested because a map activated with a different ttgo.bif is not working on your device.
You need the ttgo.bif from your device. And what I remember you could not get a loop directory.

i know that you need a ttdo.bif corresponding to the device but in this case it works !
i'm trying to get a copy of this "special card" & i'll share here if you wanna try to understand why/how it works

I suppose it is a original Card

  In the map-folder activation file ending in .mct
  This means that the activation has taken place, with reference to the
  Unique PSN (production serial number) of the SD card.
  That number is on one inaccessible spot on the SD card in the CID (Card Identification Register)
  and is also the copy protection.
  This type of SD card you can stop in any Carminat TomTom and works in there.
  This type of SD card, however, is certainly not to copy.

Is the following possible.
What Device ID do I have?
At Carminat:
Hold down INFO/Route key for 3 seconds. It will show "Route Details Screen"
Click right at joystick. It will show "Device Details Screen"

i'm certainly dreaming but if no one as ever successfully patch live navcore (except mazda maybe)
isn't it easy to use compatibility with 8842 ?
