You don't create the ttgo.bif file yourself....it is created at every successful start of the device.

If FastActivate can't use it, I suggest you delete it and let your device create a new one or copy one over from a backup if you have one.

When i started my Carminat TomTom with a new empty SD card it created only a loopdir map and no ttgo.bif file. Also on my other sd which i used before it doesn´t have the file.

1.There isn't a DOT in front of the file named ttgo.bif. Delete it.
2. A device can't create a ttgo.bif file for an empty internal memory, or a blank sd card. Load up one or the other of them an try again,
I do not give help by PM. It deprives our other members of a chance to learn. Please post your issue in the appropriate forum/thread. You will get an answer.

I know there is no dot in front of the file.

I putted my backup on the new sd card and load it with the tomtom but it doesn't have created a ttgo.bif file.

Have you looked at the Carminat tutorial and FAQ

They're old but might be of some use

The original Navcore can be patched but do you have a Carminat Live then you can do nothing (Only buying a map)

1. Open Tom-Tom Home with your old set up engaged, and take note of your Device ID
Help > System Information > Device Code > XXXXXXXXXX

2. Create a text file with notepad called ttgo.bif (NOT ttgo.bif.txt) in the root directory of your sd card
and inside put these lines:
DeviceName=Carminat TomTom
DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXXX (Your Unique Device ID with no spaces)
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8842 (Your Current navcore version, this is the latest official)

3.Copie the chosen map to root SD Card in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
--
4.Copy "FastActivate.exe" to root SD Card).
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2 and Done

If you use the original navcore then it has to be patched to
Select 3
and wait til the message
"OK System patched)"
Done

! Never update your "Application" with Tomtom Home.
======================================
The ttgo.bif file, containing the SDCardId is be created when you put a blank SD card into your Carminat.
Everything is written in the loopdir folder.
The DeviceUniqueID state in ttgo.bif.
