Unable to connect to TT update server

For the last three days TomTom Home2 has produced 'Error when connecting server: The connection to the TT server timed out' so I cannot access MapShare (and QuickGPSfix) updates. Curiouser, [Please Register or Login to download file] will only display 'waiting for [Please Register or Login to download file] in the notification line of both Firefox (3.6.12) and IE

I got the re-direct to the china site when I opened this Firefox session - could there be a connection?

I am using XP Home, SP3 and have run MS Security Essentials full scan, likewise Malwarebyte & Spybot S&D - nothing found. More curiously, System Restore claims no changes for the last eight weeks but does show MS critical updates have been processed.

Try reseting your device as i just used tt home to do my dads nav and all went fine, but it is a possibillity the tomtom servor you are using is offline.
