Have you gotten any farther in the map download process, than what you have previously reported?
We might have a navcore issue.
If you actually have NC 6520 as shown in the ttgo.bif below, it won't work with any map and will need updating.
If you actually have NC 9101 as shown in the 910 version info below, then we are OK.
ttgo.bif ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=6520
looking at my 910 version info: App 9.101.516023.2, OS 515773?
The answer to this question is very very important. BE very careful with your answer. Did you get the ttgo.bif info from the current ttgo.bif file on your 910 or from an old backup on your PC?

I have 2 files: ttgo.bif & ttgo.bif.bif I have looked at both and the latest dated one is copied below.
It does appear to have NC9101
I have never previously connected it to my PC so it can't be anything other than what is on my 910.

I agree, but let's be 100% certain. A new ttgo.bif file is created every time a device is booted. Delete any ttgo.bif on your unit. Disconnect & reboot. Reconnect & open the newly created ttgo.bif, which will be correct.
Now please answer the first question in post 17.

Ok,

NC9101 is correct.

I have not got any further than opening: united States 935-5745 and entering password: navitotal

Linksave.in page opens with 6 lines of information, 5 of which are part programs and the 6th an inclusive 'all parts' download. This 6th 'all parts' is not to be used
I click the arrow to the right of 'Part 1' and another page opens: [Please Register or Login to download file] plus adverts pop up.
I have repeated this over and over and can not see another way of clicking on the arrow and changing how it opens or downloads? I am not given an option to open or download in any other program.

[Please Register or Login to download file] ... WgbOTl1ksY opens a filefactory page to download Part 1 of the map. You should see a white band the full width of your monitor, then a dark gray band, a bright red band & another white band, which has 2 rectangular buttons, a green one, that reads Fast Download & a red one, that reads Slow Download. The red button is the free download..

Finally managed to download the maps to my pc, thank you for your patience tendriver.
I have extracted the 5 downloads to a single file and copied this file to my 910. Whilst it shows up on the device a message 'you cannot use this map on this device' is shown when I try and open on the tomtom. Is there something I have missed in the uploading process?

I am very mindfull of following the instructions. Is the download sensitive to which browser it is downloaded through? I am using google chrome and also tried firefox. I click on noref.php?url=http://bit.do/NJEk and get redirected to the download link. the information shows 100% completion of download but something is still running (the circles in centre going round indicating something is still downloading or searching?) I click on the apparent download link and get the message Application not found?

Your anti virus is wrongly assuming the download is bad, disable it temporarily
