Firstly I apologise if this is in wrong section but here goes....

I have a TT GO 710 and using Downunder35m's UNCI and followed instructions given.I installed 32mb version.
I'm confident the install went accordingly as the 8GB card works and is recognised using TT HOME.
However easytools can't patch the map therefore I get no .dct file and a message saying wrong device ID symbols - device code wrong written and latest fastactivate and other versions simply don't want to know. It starts and as I get a message on screen it just vanishes and I've run everything as administrator, with antivirus off and also in compatibility mode for every version listed. I'm certain the problem is caused by an error I have made but not too sure as to which one (in case there's a few lol) - as I usually mess with phones.
I have tried using United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_945_6243 (because I saw this posted as working for my device) and United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_950_6544 and both have meta files.

I've tried to provide as much info as I can but have a few questions really....
Have I installed incompatible or wrong maps?
Is it wrong meta code or do I have to save that in a specific way (I done .meta & .meta.txt)?
Is it case of noob screws it up yet again?

Yes, that was first thing I checked as I did do a lot of reading and downloading so was aware that I had to. Had TT Home say I had to activate the map but when I hit purchase maps it says it won't work

Only the 945.6243 has a meta code posted, so where did you see one for your 950 map?
Do you want maps from here or buy them through Home - just wondering as I can not see this from your mixed posting.
Did you use a current version of FA and updated the meta.txt?
Not that it is a hard thing to activate a TT map...

I'm sure I got the map from tendriver's post about 950 maps and the code from popeye's post for the codes.
I'm formatting the card again and going to start from scratch and note all the steps taken.
I downloaded latest FA but it just won't entertain it all. I thought it was windows 8 but I have tried every compatibility mode and zilch.
Easy tools just gives me error which again could be the slightest detail I may have missed or overlooked.
I'll get the maps from here as TT can go stick the prices.
To be honest this all started when I updated the TT and skipped the back up - cardinal sin because it screwed it up and took my Western Europe map etc away. Lesson learnt but I even tried various recovery programs on the card to no avail.
I'll have another look and double check all I have done and update the post.

If you have a specific problem, like with FastActivate it really makes sense to post specific informations.
Error messages for example as at least so far I never got any entertaining messages from FA
You only need three things to be happy:
1. A patched Navcore
2. A map version that suits your Navcore and has a meta code posted - hint: compatibilty chart
3. FastActivate

The problem definitely lies with FA.
I formatted the card and using UNCI I installed 9.510, opened up UK & ROI v945.6243 and dragged folder over.
I've ran FA in compatibility mode, as administrator, ran it with anti virus switched off, added it to exceptions ie firewall etc and still no joy.
I run it and the window opens at which point I see the little dots and words saying fastactivate and that's it.
I've tried running from sd card, desktop and it just won't go. I'd probably de delighted if I could get an error message but I can't even get that far

Put a copy of FastActivate & a copy of your ttgo.bif in the new map folder.
Run option 2 to patch the map.

You know I think that is the only thing I haven't tried. I've been moving things around left right and centre
