Update Tomtom 730

I have an TT730 and i would like to update the maps.

Boot 5.5120. GPS V1.20 NC8.398

map europe truck 8703421

Has anyone a hpw to to update my tomtom?

Hello,

Firstly, make a full backup of your Tomtom device using Windows Explorer!

Then you must update your navcore, I think you want to use newer "Truck" maps so you must install 9.702.

INFO: It will update your bootloader to 5.5279.

Check this topic, there is a download link (.cab file to download only): Current official navcores for all devices

Unzip the .cab and copy the files into your device overwriting any common files.

After that, disconnect your device from computer and wait the bootloader update to finish!

You can update the map now!

Install new map on your device and use "FastActivate":

1) Update "Meta.txt"
2) Patch Navcore (only one time)
3) Patch Map (and Speedcams if you install them).
