Follow this tutorial here ; Replace the map for the map of your choice v 850 is current , this navcore will run any of the maps ;)

Do a Backup before attempting any upgrade using windows explorer and always check your bootloader version if it is a 1x bootloader do not go any further consult a member of the TomTom team here first.

  • Download SE_X_Navcore.9.103.539753.Basicpack and copy the complete contents to your device, overwriting any common files

  • Download SE_X_ttsystem.9.103.539753 and copy the contents to your device overwriting when/if prompted

  • Download your required map I will use the next map as an example you change it to whatever map you require
[Please Register or Login to download file] , (Check the map/navcore chart to determine compatibillity)

  • When downloaded extract the files to a folder in the root of your device named in corrispondance with your downloaded map Western_Central_Europe_2GB_845_2645.

  • Download the current version of AutoActivate and copy the .exe to the root of your device, Run the .exe

  • Done

His unit does not need the basicpack.

Western & Central Europe 2GB 850.2801 [1.59GB] cspeech & ASR
Western & Central Europe 2GB 850.2820 [1.44GB] no cspeech, ASR, IQ Route or ALG

He should use FastActivator with a SE navcore.

Navcore is the OS. djc is referring to the 9.103 navcore. And Yes your current navcore will run the current maps.

I thought XL IQ Routes Edition comes in 32mb ram ? i may be wrong but this was the impression i was under, if you have 64mb ram use a .cab not a basikpack

Tap in the lower right corner (blue area) of the nav screen. In the screen that opens, tap the little box on the right that reads Version 8.414. The ram is in the window that opens.
