Someone told me I can only use until 2 Gb cards with this device, is this true ?

No, you can use a larger card, if you update your bootloader.

it is very simple
[Please Register or Login to download file]

Extract it and rename to "system" and copy your device root directory and start tomtom

with them must always be careful never to change it other than this one

I have to wait 3500 seconds before my download so it will take some time....
Rename to system without extention ?
What do mean by the root, is this the root of the SD card ?

Is there a risk my device can brick (I read it somewhere ??!!)

download above attachment, yes, without extension and replace old one

yes root is SD-Card \ here is already old one, this case risk is minimal

Navitotal Mods have never "bricked" a TomTom.

pietu added the bootloader to his post as an attachment, so there is no wait to download it.

Sorry I didn't notice the attachment.
I've downloaded the attachment now.
So I'll buy a 4 Gb card for the update.

I still have to wait for downloading the map files (unfortunatly)

But I really have to leave for work now.

Till later.

Hello helpdesk,

With your help this morning I've got my TomTom one working with the europe map 850.2801 and the official navcore version 7.903.
Now I would like to update to a higher navcore version 8.??????.
Can someone help me with this ?

What navcore version is recommended and how do I install this version ?

SE_Navcore.8.412.1236.Basicpack.rar

What is the next step?
Which files do I need to copy to the SD card?
