Some years ago when I first updated my TT One with GPS Underground before it closed originally, where I could not use a 4G SDHC with a large map and was suggested at the time to update to Ver 5.5106.

But now it looks if I have same problem with my sons GO500, his boot is Ver 4.86. His 'GO' will not start with a SDHC with the same files as mine with the new 865.3245 WesternEurope 2G map.

I can't find any info of how to install the latest Boot for the SDHC.

Help please.

The Boot, Navcore and files etc are all the same as my card which is OK in my 'One'.

Boot file is the " system " file . If you download the SE package, look for the big size - around 30+ MB , or you can download the original .CAB file for your device posted in Navcore thread ( btw, Underground site is still there ) . I just patched my very old TT ONE XL 32MB with 8.562 which has 5.5138 bootloader, running TTS and got 4MB ram free still... quite fast and stable so far , and reading 4G SDHC fine too .

Anyone know where I can find a download for Bootloader 5.5022 or 5.5138

duh... it s in the Navcore thread :) included in the .CAB Use the one with the .CAB , it s official from tomtom site

1. It won't start because the current bootloader can't read the SDHC card. Hence the new bootloader can't install. Solution: Replace the bootloader on the small card setup with the new version. Disconnect & reboot. Once it is fully booted, shut down, insert the new card & reconnect.

Ok,

All done and running with my Boot and Navcore using the 865 series map. I've also created my own 'how to' file so I can look-up what to do next time on either TT device.
