I may have posted this topic some time ago, the instructions of what I needed to keep and delete was kept but since then I lost the paper.

Some time ago an old mate approached me to help him with updating his TomTom to the latest.

The map he has is very old "Australia v945".

Apart from obtaining the latest Australia v995 map with meta and FastActivate, is there anything else I need to keep on his TomTom device before deleting everything?

Copy his setup to a safe place before you delete anything...just in case

After updating, you might want to restore the 'mapsettings.cfg' file and any POI's he's got residing in the old map folder
