Hi Guys,
You were good enough to help last time 18months ago, its time to do it again:

My tomtom is in need of update.
TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)
BootLoaderVersion=55136
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_855_2884
CurrentMapVersion=855.2884
TTGO.BAK:
DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)
BootLoaderVersion=55136
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_855_2884
CurrentMapVersion=855.2884
TTGO.ORI:
DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)
BootLoaderVersion=55136
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_855_2884
CurrentMapVersion=855.2884
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...
My Questions are, is the current navcore still ok?
Map 885. 4059 is that the correct one, and do I remove existing map before loading new? Or does the software automatically take care of that..
thanks for now, Dave

You said you have done it before, so I don't see your problem.

Yes I did do it before, with your help.

I was asking whether to change the navcore or keep?
asking if the Map I downloaded was the correct one
and finally did i have to remove existing map before installing new map.

sorry for the confusion,

The NC is fine and accepts all maps.
Up to you if you keep or remove the old map.

Update has gone reasonably well:
Map upgrade was easy with the new automated option.
Also updated the zip codes to latest.
The only item now requiring attention is the speed camera’s, they now no longer work!
Has the above 2 updates caused this? Or is it something I omitted to reset!
thx

sorry for the confusion,

1. I concur with Downunder.
2. NO. UK & ROI 885.4059 does not have a posted meta & is not usable yet. UK & ROI 885.4009 or 4058 are the only usable versions at this time.
3. Removing the old map is the normal procedure, but as Downunder said, It's up to you.
4. Copy all of the speed cam files from the old map folder to the new map folder.

Why do you have a TTGO.BAK set to your actual navcore??

The old speedcams can't work with the new map as they are not in that folder - that is plain simple logic and does not need a professor ;)
