Urgent help please on go520 and installing truck

ok button one update meta not touched to confirm,

button two map/cameras etc done first and meta saved to J etc

button three done ttsystem etc all patched

In the Truck map folder, look for a .meta file, a .meta.dct file, a .tmeta file & a .tmeta.dct file. All 4 are there, the map is patched.

Put the card in the 520 & BOOT it.

ok all files there and card in and booted to i agree screen,

again same issue have to press approx 4mm above the i agree button to accept, then at europe truck or uk map selection it won't select, tapping everywhere on screen and nothing,
but without the card in the internal map selects as it should and all lined up etc.

any ideas ?

Don't be offended, but are you using a quality SD card or a cheap one?

sandisk sdhc 4gb also tried on a dikom sd gold 4gb which i use without issue on my 720,

i can't get hold of the member on here who i brought it off, for some reason i can't reply or see any trace of reply to his pm's

i'm wondering if it has something to do with the internal map he put on?

i see from the original sd files there is a system5.5120 file not on this card?

i have a file called install.bif, in it has this = Bootloaderversion=5.2701
but the 520 device bootloader is saying 5.5120

is this correct or conflicting?

2 options come to mind.

1. Remove everything from the internal & copy the card contents to the internal. This will tell you if you have a software or hardware issue.

2. Remove everything from the card, except the map. Copy everything from your 720, except the map & copy it to the card.

hi tendriver i have it all sorted apart from kate the computer voice won't work, the guy i got it off pm'd me to say i had to transfer a file called cal.txt back to new sdcard and it worked straight away, so many thanks for your time and help appreciate it mate, happy xmas

I'm glad that you were able to contact the seller. cal.txt is not a "normal" file. If you still have access to a copy of it, please post it here.

How did you load Kate?

just make a file called cal.txt and add these numbers 930 85 308 58 to the top line and save, then it just sits in the root of the memory card

loaded kate through tomtom home but although you can select it it will not work so no sound basically, so have had to select standard sue for him.

In earlier posts, you indicated that you were loading 8.396 first, then loading 8.398 over it. If that was what you did on this final setup, exactly where did you get 8.396?

Got it off here sometime back also have 8.398 but have only loaded 8.396 . i will have it back after xmas and change to 8.398. at least it works as truck right now.

Since there are 4 places where you can download different versions of 8.396, I wouldn't think "Got it off here sometime back" answers the question, "exactly where did you get 8.396?"

I'm trying to help you with your voice issue. To do so, I need to know the EXACT 8.396 version that you used.
