I got my hands on a Via 130 recently in order to test out (indoors) the "improved" TT voice control.
It just would not recognise "40" as a street number. Mostly, it came up with "14" and sometimes "43".
Solution? Say "39". It begs the question, what other things does it struggle with?
The radio, that was on in the same room, interfered occassionally.
I'm just wondering what other users think about the new TT voice control.
Does road noise affect it?

1. The Via 130 is one of the "new" models to which nothing like "crack", "hack", "activate", "copy" or "patch" can be applied. The TT Section does not offer help on these models.
2. Voice Command & Control is not new. It has been around for several years.

Yes, the voice control has been around for several years but I believe that the new models have "improved" voice control.

So TT claims. Voice Command & Control is now called
Speak & Go.

The voice control on my old Nokia N95 was flawless, on my TT I only use it to dim the screen...
Using voice input usually needs a luxury car with no driving sounds, the radio off and about 15 minutes to get somewhere - easier and faster to use the keyboard.
It might just be me but australian native raod or town names are impossible for a TT.
IMHO the only reason TT incuded such a feature is the law as in most countries you are no longer allowed to "use" your hands on the GPS while driving.
I guess with a proper background noise reduction and more tolerance the system might work and now that TT uses the Nance engine instead of the Loquendo engine we could hope for improvement ;)
