No voice controle

I'm using a TomTom go 910 configuration:

DeviceName=TomTom GO 910
BootLoaderVersion=55010
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8412
ApplicationVersion=1236
UserLanguage=Nederlands
CurrentMap=western europe 855 2884
CurrentMapVersion=855.2884

The option for voice controle is disabled but should be available for this map.

Any suggestions to solve the problem ?

Confirm that you have an ASR folder in your unit & that there is a file named support_asr.dat in that folder

There is a directory called ASR but there is no file in it called support_asr.dat !

Where can I find this file ?

It is attached. Unzip & copy the file to the ASR folder.

Thanks, I've copied the file in the ASR dir but the option is still not available.
Is there something else I have to check ?

Hi userbb - You do have a computer voice selected? and are there other files in your ASR folder apart from the new support_asr.dat file? (just tryin' to save tendriver some work - I owe him big time for the same feature install!)

U can download computer voices through tomtom home

Connecting my device using TomTom Home and trying to download a computer voice, I get "No item available"

After some googling I've a computer voice installed yet, but the voice controle option is still not available.
What do I have to check subsequently ?

Did you have a working LoquendoTTS voice on your last set-up?

What do you mean by a working LoquendoTTS voice.
The downloaded voice is working.
I've selected the computer voice and the steet names are spoken, if that is what you mean.

As you know, I've bought this device after my problems with my TomTom go 720 .
I've put a new map on the device supporting ASR and ALG.
This evening I've downloaded a computer voice and installed the voice.

And now I was trying to get the ASR working.
I found out that voice controle is able in the destination menu but the option voice controle preferences is disabled in the Change preferences menu.

From your post 10, I didn't see that the voice was working.
Do you know what emulation your unit is set for?
You bootloader is 5.5010. Bootloader for 8.412 navcore is 5.5128.

Where can I find this information ?

Look in your device for a Config folder, a text folder or a setconfig.txt file.
