hi guys - im having some issues with some voices that i have...i have copied the voices folder from my tomtom go 530 which i know all work fine including some celebrity voices...to my mates tomtom one v6...the .dct files are all there...but just to make sure i ran "fastactivate" to make sure....however some of the celbrity voices are not working, some of the standard voices, ie jane etc do not work also...any ideas why ? ta

1. Remove all of the voices except Jane. See if this voice will work now.

yes jane voice works fine...i suppose ill have to do a few voices at a time..

The smaller device only allow a limited amount of voices to be installed.
The standard voices end with 66 in the filename.
Check which languages you need and remove the rest, that should give you some more options.
You might have to change the filenames and entries in the correspondinf .vif files so the numbers stay below 99.

Yep. That is what I was working toward, when I asked him to try Jane only.

sorry guys dont understand...so basically any voices be it standard or celibrity voices that are over number 66 wont work....ie data66, data67,data68...etc etc wont work ?...as most celebrity voices are over 66...so for example how would i get the celebrity voice snoop dog which is data 82 to work ? ta

Ok, ignore the technical stuff for a moment.
I asume you only need a few premium voices and maybe 1 or 2 normal ones.
Delete all files in the voices folder that you don't need using Home, manage my device.
Check if you got the sound back with that one or two standard voices.
If so simply add the premium voice(s) of your choice, activate them with Fast- or AutoActivate and try again.
If after that the standard voices work but not all premium voices we will try more.

thanks m8s...seemed to be working now, deleted all voices...went to home and it installed around 6 or 7 english voices...all voices worked fine...so added a few premium voices...used "fastactivate" instead of " autoactivate"....all work fine now, perhaps it was "autoactivate" that was the problem....thanks for the help..
