hi i have just updated a friends tt one xl for him and there is no voices.
I used the Automatic Navcore Installation tool for this and the one I used was
SE_Navcore.9.026.483454_32mb_Devices with the map
United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 855,2884
I used the built in activation tool as well
I then searched the forum and found a topic on this problem so I did as it said downloaded the 2 english voices put them into the folder and then overwrote the Loquendo TTS but the unit still says there are no usable voices on it and wants me to connect it to tt home

A one xl will not run Loquendo voices properly as it only has 32mb RAM if you want computer voices you must use VocalizerTTS also you can use the non computer voices

where can I find the VocalizerTTS voises as when I went to down load from rapid share it said they were no longer there.

Which VocalizerTTS voice/voices are you trying to download?

Vocaliser voices go into a folder called "VocalizerTTS" Case Sensitive

now I have got that do I put the folder inside the Loquendo TTS folder or do I not need that folder at all and if not do I just delete it.

Delete the LoquendoTTS folder. The VocalizerTTS folder goes in the root memory.

I got the voices sorted but when the computer voice is selected I think it slows the unit down to much so I think it would be best to use just the normal voices.
and the speed cam icon is greyed out even if I use the computer voice so it will have to do for him.....
told him to get a 64 mb unit but would he listen !!!!!!

I'm sorry that you are having these problems.
1. Your's is the first post from a member having a problem with Vocalizer voices on a 32B unit.
2. Voices have nothing to do with the speed cam icon being greyed out. Even removing all voices, will not grey out the speed cam icon. Confirm that the speed cam ov2 file/files have been correctly patched for this unit

For the speedcams to become enabled i think you might need to create a setconfig.txt with "bton " inside and NO "btoff" , you will also be able to save some RAM using switchfiles so you will be able to run your Vocalizer voices see this thread with information on switchfiles here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?917-Switchfiles-for-dummies

yes they were patched ok but dont know why they were greyed out did as djc said and got it done ok but seems to take awhile to find sats well at least for the first boot (I hope) so now I hope it's all ok if so once again I thank you for all your help.....
