watchdogtrace.dat bug report

What should I do to fix those issues?

Bad Behaviors:

- My device keeps shutting down after about 1'30''.
- Keyboard (small / big) is reacting badly: letters at the edge area cannot be pressed.
- Device is very slow in the address/ post code / destination panel.

Notes:

- NavCore 9702 GO and ONE-XL 64 MB - 32 MB Ttusser
- Battery seems not defective.
- SD-Card checked for errors: no trouble at all.

Free Memory: between 8 an 12 Mb

Please edit post 1 & 2 into 1 post about 1/2 the size of the current post 1.
Navcore 9.702 is the current truck navcore. I suggest you replace it with 9.510.

alright i'm gonna test Navcore 9.510
thanks!

i believe it's easier to read splitted because the info is quite big and different...
how can i merge the two posts?

edit 1: wanted to install Navcore 9.510 rider "nc 9.510installer1.1.exe" by user "downunder" but got this error message: Input file empty!

edit 2: tried Pre-patched [email protected]" target="_blank for TT Home "Operate my device".
device is still shutting down / rebooting / looping and now says "GPS Pilot unknown" "Pilote GPS inconnu".

Entire post 2 can be deleted.

The 9.510 is the official NC for your device, you can install it through Home and simply patch it with FastActivate.
If my installer gives such errors it is usually the user doing something totally wrong.
The process is fully automated and only giving the installer false info would cause this - but you don't need an installer for your device anyway ;)

I suggest you delete all from the device except the ttgo.bif and let Home update it until no more updates are offered.
Add the map, patch and activate and all should be fine.
If not you might have a hardware problem.

hum weird connected the device again and now TomTom apps for GO, ONE and RIDER have been added:

directories:

statdata

what i dont understand is that now infos (bootloader version & linux version) inside file install.bif (auto added by TomTom Home) don't match info from ttgo.bif file. should i do something about it to avoid issues?

install.bif :

[TomTomGo]
RamDiskVersion=20061002
Bootloaderversion=4.86LinuxVersion=1387
ApplicationVersion=7690

ttgo.bif :

[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom GO
DeviceVersionHW=GO
DeviceSerialNumber=B1
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20140305
BootLoaderVersion=55244
LinuxVersion=1114405
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=
ApplicationVersion=

also what about the GPSFirmwareVersion ?

in a previous back it was listed: 2.4.12.09-XTomTom2.0-C1EVAL1.0 0000003729
and after running FastActivate and used the GPS fix, the info became blank !

edit: added map and used FastActivate
FastActivate does not run properly since the clean install... (auto shutdown for some choices)

Now my device not working at all. I cannot reach the map & menu anymore the device is shutting down before that. :bs_quesexclaim:

On the device a ttgo.bif will only created new AFTER a SUCCESSFUL boot - so unless map and all is working it won't be created in all cases.
I said to update until home no longer offers updates - did you follow that advise and also followed what home asked to do after each update?
After each update, disconnect the TT, boot it and once finnished shut down and connect so home can try more updates - this is the only way to get the device to the latest Navcore with home the save way.
What Navcore version (application) did home install on your TT?

yes i followed those steps and it has installed what ive listed but with that one it does not pass the first screen...

[TomTomGo]
RamDiskVersion=20061002
Bootloaderversion=4.86LinuxVersion=1387
ApplicationVersion=7690

ttgo.bif :

[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom GO
DeviceVersionHW=GO
DeviceSerialNumber=B1
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20140305
BootLoaderVersion=55244
LinuxVersion=1114405
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=
ApplicationVersion=

then i tried several navcores and only NavCore 9702 GO and ONE-XL 64 MB - 32 MB Ttusser has almost worked but the device is shutting down after a short while!

Copied from your ttgo.bif files in posts 8 & 10.
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=
ApplicationVersion=

Either you didn't have a navcore installed when these files were created, or they weren't patched at that time.
