Weird UK post code problem in ONE XL v1

Weird UK post code problem in ONE XL v1

Postby VUK » Fri Dec 31, 2010 3:27 pm

I have genuine 860 map installed on latest XL v1 navcore 8.010

It works 100% perfect.

Then I decided to upgrade to 8.412 downloaded from here.

Everything seemed OK but if I enter a UK post code for example RM13 8PT that code related to 12 story high rise building rather then the road thats the building is on, therefore in the next step after entering the correct post code it does not require a house number.

On 8.412 regardless of what map version I try it wants a number!

This makes it impossible finding such places on very long roads.

I tried few v9 navcore but it crashes when accessing the menu so I stuck to v8.412.

Any ideas its driving me nuts :cray:

LATEST POSTCODES Version 860 (GREAT BRITAIN, NEDERLAND & SINGAPORE) Postcode v860

Extract and copy the "Zip" folder to the root of your TomTom.

Done that at the start. Like I said works fine in original navcore but not in 8.4.

Maybe I can swap some files over to make it work? Or use another newer navcore?

1. It helps us for members to post what they have done.

There is no reason why 9.XXX won't run on you ONE XL. TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation

I typed the postcode above into the PDA version of Tomtom (UK V860 maps and postcodes) and it asks for a house number.

Yes that right but you should be able to leave it blank and select next, on v 8.412 it has to have a number otherwise it will not continue.

Sorry for not making it very clear.

I have used automatic install to upgrade to v9, its works fine and the post codes are fine.

Very slow though on v9 which is why I would like v8 lol
