What is NAVCORE and how to use it?

I'm totally new to this stuff and I want to ask you what is NAVCORE for TomTom? Is it something like operating system just cracked and I can do stuff for free?

Yes, the navcore is the operating system.

Providing your device is older than September 2012 or whose files & folders can be accessed through Windows Explorer, then yes you can update it with maps which can be downloaded from here.

What model do you have?

Edit: You have a Go 720 and have already downloaded Central and Eastern Europe 995 8507 and are having problems with activation
