The 500 has no mic afaik, so no ASR.
Every Navcore 8.2xx or higher will give you ALG and IQ routes.
Go here and try the 8.412 or 8.410.
As an alternative you can try this Navcore too.
Keep the Navcore that runs best on your device and discard the others, please read the instructions provided in the postings carefully.

@ Sir Dammus Ayne,

May I suggest that you also try Downunder's navcore suggestions.

I think I probably have. I have tried nearly every thing up to 9.205 which didn't want to know.

I have currently got 9.161 on just to see how it runs. 4.3Mb free. Vocaliser working fine

You may know me better under a different name on a couple of other sites.

Regards

If you're interested in playing around with Navcore to find good ones for your device, you can PM me.
For example I created a 8.398 that was able to use LoquendoTTS on a ONE v9 with still over 7mb of free ram.
But it takes time and patience to modify Navcores my way, however I would not mind a tester that uploads backups of really good working Navcores for these old devices.
Every now and than a user finds a dinosaur and want it updated ;)

I haven't posted enough posts to be able to pm you. After I have posted this one, I should be up to the required 5 posts.

Thank you for your greetings.

I am going to try http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?6986-Navcore-8.414-with-LoquendoTTS-support-for-old-32mb-devices-plus-support-for-chinese&highlight=32mb from post no 2 just to see how it works on my Go 300.

Will post back with my thoughts.

Regards
