Where to start? So Confused!

Where to start? So Confused!

Postby collymonster » Sun Dec 04, 2011 2:26 pm

Hello,

I'm sorry for such a ridiculous post - but all I'm tyring to do is put some new maps on my TomTom XL350. It has the USA amps on there at the moment, I want the UK/ireland or Western Europe. I'm looking through the tutorials but have no idea where to start, they all seem to assume you have previous knowledge and none of them give what I can see as a step by step guide as to how to get a new set of maps on.

Can anyone please help me out and point me to a tutorial on whats the easiest way to do this?
Thanks!

It's really very complicated to do this, but you can try!!!

Make a copy & paste backup.
Remove the US map folder.
Copy in the new UK&ROI 880.3810 map folder.
Go here: FastActivate 24.11.2011 {1.8.8.0} Read the instructions carefully. Download the Premium version.
Run FastActivate. Click all 4 buttons from left to right.
DONE!!

Thanks! Wow that actually was pretty easy. The only thing is on the last step for TomTom home it said it cannot find a dll

However I turned on the unit and the maps work, the only thing is that it can;t seem to find a signal. I'm still in my apartment though I'll go now to the car and hopefully it will work
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!

1. It is very easy. My first comment in post 2 was for humor.
2. With your unit connected to your computer, run TT Home "Operate my device. If you are aked to download a small file, then do so. Rerun the TT Home patcher.
3. Some times the first sat connect is a bit slow after an update/upgrade.
