Any of the GO X40 or X50 LIVE series. But first, define "stopped working".

Did not boot, no power, completely dead. when opened up it seems as though the little power button had become detached from the soldering.

When buying, is it a good idea to get a GO 550 live as a refurbished unit from tomtom?, i dont think they can be bought new anymore? i live in the UK.

many thanks

I would have no problem buying a refurb from TT or any reputable company like Amazon.

I bought a refurbished unit fron TT. The map was two issues out of date and would not upgrade using TT Home without paying a subscription. Not a problem using the intelligence available on this site, but would tempt a novice into paying as much for the (updated) refurbished unit as for a new unit with the guaranteed map upgrade

That all depends, the state of the device is important, e.g. new battery, no marks etc.
The rest can be "fixed" with all the nice things we have in the forum - except someone decides to buy a NC10/11 based TT.
Even buying a secong hand device with a weak battery off ebay is no problem if the price is ok and all accessories you need are included, a battery is about 15$ and takes 30min to replace.
These days it is important to have the SD slot, BT and maybe the FM transmitter (some people claim to have a noisy car/van ;) ).
If you need Live Services and you're willing to pay for them a X40/X50 is a good choice.
However, if it is only the power button that came off I would rather think of fixing than replacing the TT.
