Which map is the best for my device

Postby VI4RUS » Mon Jan 16, 2017 1:51 am

I am losing my mind downloading different maps and navcores. .. So I have TT One XL 30 series v9 w/NO sd card slot.
NC 8.083 ( 9669/090817 ) : Boot Loader 5.5136 and have map USA and Canada 875.3675 in it..Yes it hasn't been updated in quite a while.
I have installed NC 9.510 for the 32 mb xl. Have downloaded many maps that I found for my TT that work in it with any NC.
EX: 980.7900 / 980.7974 / 980.7975 / 970.7468 / and now have 980.7975. ALL are Eastern US and Canada maps
Problem is that when I do get everything said and done incl metas / patch nc , still says maps won't work. You guys know this site well, so I'm asking for help..
Am I doing this the right way and the steps.. Maybe the maps ect are not the problem.. Could be an ID 10 T.
Guess what I'm saying is which map and meta is the updated one that I can use

I think you'd figure it out if you have a look at the tutorial here...this bit in particular:

Once you've decided on a particular map, you need to check it already has a Meta code released before you download it otherwise you might find out later it can't be activated and you've wasted your time. You'll find a thread with Meta codes for each map series here. If the one you're interested in is not there, then you'll need to look for the next best alternative. Please don't ask for a Meta code, it will be listed if it's available!

So, the first thing to do then is to check the 980 Meta Codes page to see what maps can be activated....notice that there are only 2 two possibilities of your desired map that have a meta code already released:

E3 B7 0A CE F2 50 D8 93 B1 24 8E A7 BD 02 20 8C Eastern_US_and_Canada-100972.meta ; Eastern_US_and_Canada 980_7957
FD 8C 20 F7 40 E8 B8 E6 2C AD 06 FF 57 7C B1 15 Eastern_USA_and_Canada-100972.meta ; Eastern_USA_and_Canada 980_7957

Need I say any more lol? :wallbash:

You also got the same answer on the other forum too

Fredderf:

I thank you. Now that I looked at it after a day off.. That was the right call. I should have known it was that, cause I changed my NC.
Long weekend looking at the screen for 2 days..
Definitely an ID10T thing.
Thx for the other forum too

No problem, just read and follow the steps in the tutorial and you'll be a lot more successful in downloading & activating the right maps for your device
