Which Navcore Please

Wed Jul 28, 2010 10:39 am

Can anyone help please, bit of a newbie here. I have a TT One XL running a patched 9.101.516023.2 navcore, which is working fine, but does take up a lot of memory (about 3mb left).

I have noticed that there is a new 9.205 Navcore on the forum, should I upgrade to this, and if so what are the benefits. Any help is very much appreciated. I have a 2GB SD card with USA 8.50 @ UK & ROI 8.50 maps installed.
Many thanks in advance

There are no real benefits of updating to the 9.205.
If the 9.101 runs fine than leave it alone.
Your maps are up to date too, so need to worry and if you need more space try a bigger SD card.

9.205 is for the urban rider (v3) , You will be better off sticking to 9.101 ;) or even 9.103 this would suit your model better than a rider navcore ;)

I do not reccomend any v 9 navcore for a 3.5" screen device,
For your device i reccomend using 8.412 basickpack and matching SE ttsystem

As for the bootloader there is no need to change it unless you need to, so keep with your current one unless you got a valid reason for changing it ;)

thanks

I think it's also depeneding on the map.
I use NavCore 9026 with TT One XL and Ibria 850.2820 map. Excellent!

I have a TT One New Edition (small screen) which dates back to 2006 and which runs NC 7.903 (9183/081205) and BL 2.3029
From an earlier quote I gathered that a software update to NC 8.412 would be possible.

Is this still the relevant ?
Would a NC upgrade be worthwhile ?

I have a downloaded SE_Navcore.8.410.1218.Basicpack and SE_ttsystem.8.410.1218.

I can extract these packs and let them overwrite files on the TT device?
Would that suffice ?

I also have the latest FastActivate and now have got two maps activated and running on the device.
