great, so I do exactly the same with his as I did with mine then? although his doesnt have SD card so assume I place the files directly on his device?

Yep. Do exactly the same thing on his internal memory, that you did on your card.

Just about to do his unit, one thing though. When I did mine the SDcard was blank so I just did as you said with the files, his internal memory has all his system files and directorys on it - do I delete everything on his internal mem first? obviously I have backed everything up.

No need to delete anything. Let the new files overwrite any common old files.

go for 950 and stay away from the 1k devices
