I can not even put the bootloader on it, because the SD card is not available on my PC. When I connect it via USB it should a new drive appear on my PC.In this case, the letter is visible, but I can't format it, can't do anything with it.
How can I put the Bootloader 5.5022 or higher, if the drive is not available?

1. Please do not format the card.
2. In order to change the bootloader, the device must do a full boot-up. The bootloader is upped during the boot-up. Therefore you must have a full set-up, navcore & map, on the small SD card to up the b/l.
3. Confirm that the small SD card is not write protected, with the SD card slider in the locked position.

Hi Tendriver,
I followed what you said.TT Go 300 device: I've put the old 2 GB SD card, uploaded the 9.702 Navcore, Bootloader: 5.5279. I've put also a small map on it,and turned it on. It's working with the small v965 map, 9.702 Navcore...etc. Navigation, everything works.Turned it off, then I swapped the 2 GB SD card to a 4 GB microSDHC+adaptor.Didn't boot up. Then I plugged it in via USB. Didn't appeared any of the folders on the card. So, I took the card out, I put it into a GO 730.Works well, copied the files from the old working 2 GB card, the map, etc...+the new truck map+patched. Card out, back to the old GO 300. Again, didn't recognize the card.USB plugged in, new drive letter appears, but I can't browse it, or see the size of it.
What did I wrong, any idea?
I'm using Win XP SP 3 (32bit)
Thx

Are you shure that the bootloader is 5.5279
Checking bootloader (the only reliable method)
Enter a device reset 15 sec.
Then turn on the device and hold the start button until you
get info screen. Which bootloader is there.

I've got the black boot screen:
.
.
.
Bootloader version: S5.5279 clist#575098 RVCT
.
.
.
.
SD Card capacity: 3887104 KB ??
.
.
at the end, there is two '?' symbol
On my Go 730 is the same, same memory card, same size, same two '?' symbols at the end.In that device the card works.
I put the original 2 GB card back to the Go 300:
.
.
SD Card capacity: 1985024 KB Sandisk

'Right now the 5.5022 seems to be the best to go because it is one of the fastest and supports the bigger SD cards.
5.5022 is the best choice for older models like the 300 and 500!
5.5105 is reported to work fine on 500 as well.
5.5105 can cause problems on ONE models!
For older models like Go 300,500 ,ONE V1 or classic I strongly recommend not to use bootloaders higher than 5.5022 - if you "brick" your GPS you can only hope to get it back to live with a higher bootloader that supports your system.
5.5128 can brick your old first model ONE,300 and 500 models!
Update only if you really have to!!'
I have a Go 300
Can I downgrade my Bootloader to 5.5022 ?

I have a one V1 with bootloader 5.5297 and it works fine so I don,t think that it is the bootloader.
Try a normal SDHC card 4GB or more maximum 16GB (Sandisk, Transcend, Kingston, etc).

Hi holyhead,
I've tried Sandisk microSDHC 4GB+adaptor, and Kingston microSDHC 4GB+adaptor. Non of them working in my old GO 300, but both works well in the GO 730.
This is why, I looking for the old Bootloader v5.5022
I also have an oldschool laptop, and the built in SSD reader doesn't work with the 4GB and upwards cards.(no new drivers,it's a small series noname laptop)Works well up to 2GB SD, like the GO 300 I've struggling with.
I've got a bootloader collection, and I found the 5.5022 in it.
Should I go for it?
UPDATE: I have downgraded the Bootloader to 0.0001, than upgraded it to 5.5022
It works! Make sure when you download a new Navcore to delete the Bootloader which comes along with.Otherwise it will upgrade it to 5.5279 and won't work again.
