Which truck map for a GO940Live

Postby sverige » Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:19 pm

Hi

I have a problem with my GO940Live
I know that the GO is a NAV2 so I installed the 1120-12114 Truck Map but it went into a loop just like it did befor after I installed a NAV3 map and the advice was to instaal a NAV2
But now I have the same problem again.
What do I wrong ?

An update :
I test it and remove the truck map and installes EU map 1120-12098 and the same problem
Then I removed mapsettings and problem is gone

Then I installed the truck map again without mapsettings file and then no problem
So the problem is the mapsettings file
How can I solve this ?

You could try deleting your mapsettings.cfg or deleting all speedcams you don't need or try a hard reset by holding down the power button for an extended time....you'll see a BIOS screen after which you can press the power button again to boot normally to see if it's helped

Once it's running OK again (and you've done a full windows backup!) then (at least until/unless it happens again) you're good to go. The mapsettings.cfg problem normally only occurs when using a new map so shouldn't bother you again (till next map update)

That is true but now I lost all addresses which I had
Stranges is that in my GO750 it works fine with the previous mapsettings file.

You could possibly try reinstalling your mapsettings.cfg if you still have a copy but if not it's a PITA but you'll need to add your addresses again?

Reinstalling don´t work so adding addresses is the only option.
But I am curious why it won´t work with my 940 but it works fine with my 750 !
Even the mapsettings file of my 750 won´t work in the 940 so the problem is in the 940 (I think) but what ???
Reinstall the NC maybe ?

I think the mapsettings.cfg is uniquely created by/for one specific map version only which is why it often (but not always) can cause problems with a newer map version (just my thought)
