Hi everyone

I need to update my tomtom xxl before I go to Florida next week, can you advise which maps and navcore are required for my device which is currently running:/

OS 842337
U.K. And Ireland Map 910.4892

It has 1.8gb of storage.

You're already running the latest navcore so there's nothing to do there, so being as it can use fully featured maps we'll go for those to get ALG etc:

United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_965_7250
US_South Atlantic_ 965_7250

Both of the above already have meta data released so you'll have no problems with activation.
Also both are small enough to fit onto your device at the same time without the need to use an SD card.

Yes, you'll need to download the latest SpeedCam files and extract the relevant ones into each map folder before activating.

The GPS fix can be done either with FastActivate or TomTom Home
