Xxl not searching postcode or calculating route

Hi
I have just bought a XXL Classic from eBay with truck map installed.
But when searching for postcodes it freezes and restarts.Also if I select the address it freezes on calculating the route.

Can anyone help.

Always remember: BUYER BEWARE!!
If the seller claimed the unit to be fully functional, I would contact him/her. If not, to troubleshoot the unit, I would install the LATEST POSTCODES Version [Please Register or Login to download file]
If no help, I would remove the 6551 truck map & load the smallest usable map that we have posted. This will tell you if it's a map or navcore problem.

thanks tendriver, but can you tell me where the postcode files should be placed.

ok i have added the postcodes to a folder called zip.
postcodes are now working but tomtom is still freezing at route summary, then restarting.
does anyone have any ideas ?

It says mine has 4gb.

In any case you got a fraud on your hands as the seller as no legal option to get the truck map on the device.
I would not bother but repor him to Ebay and get the money back.

Ok I am trying to reload the map.
but when I try to delete the map folder from the device it just hangs and does not delete.

Can anyone help?
