I've been reverse engineering a 2008 2VN0 unit on the bench. Unfortunately during code patching an RTS in the wrong place this unit is now boot looping on the Welcome screen. The 3 button press to diagnostics is not getting the chance to launch.

Is there a way to have the unit boot recovery firmware using a Compact Flash card (in PC card adapter)? I've been using the CF card for incremental updates before the boot loop. Hoping there is a procedure for a specific set of files on the card that will launch recovery.
