READ THROUGH THIS GUIDE FIRST, AND THEN BACKUP EVERYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. Officially, iGO Primo presently supports only devices that have 320x240, 480x272 and 800x480 screen resolutions. Your device should have at least 64MB of RAM.
Download this version of iGO Primo supplied by Chas521 and one map of your country. Maps and extras are available from here. R3 maps will work with iGO8.3 and Primo. TA (Teleatlas) maps work better in Europe and NT (Navteq) seem to work better in NA.
Polite request, please try to provide mirrors for content you've downloaded to help us to help you. Copy the [map].fbl to the \content\map sub-folder. Make sure you have a clear view of the sky to get a satellite lock. If all is well, you will see the loading screen, then you will have to answer some setup questions and agree to the license agreement. Next tap on the picture of the map to the left of the screen. If "Autodetecting GPS" is written across the top of the screen, then you will need to enter your GPS settings in sys.txt. If "Looking for GPS signal" is written across the top of the screen then, iGO Primo has found the GPS receiver.
You can tap on the text at the top of the screen to see the GPS status. You should see red bars representing the detected satellites. These will turn green when the device has locked on to them.
If your device locks on to the satellites and displays your current location, then you are done. It won't hurt to backup the Primo folder now.
Enjoy your device.
