Postby barny » Sat Feb 05, 2011 1:01 pm

hi,

need help please .... i have iphone 4 iOS4.2.1, baseband 3.1, "not" Jailbroken(original state)

i downloaded tom tom from here:
h t t p://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread ... ustom-Maps

filename:
tip16ukir24ON.part1.rar
tip16ukir24ON.part2.rar

Cant see any real instructions , so i did:
1- downloaded file
2-conected iphone to pc via sync cable
3-extracted both parts by right clicking on pt 1 and clicked extract to folder(tip16ukir24ON)
4-double clicked on TomTom UK Ireland.ipa
5-itunes opened up automatically and started to sync
6-after sync nothing happened
7-i clicked on "app" in tunes and synced apps
8- got "unknown error code" - 0x8008001

basically cannot install TOMTOM on my iphone,

have tried a few times . not tried the euro tomtoms as the files are too big and only realy need uk&irl.

please can anyone advise what is happening or what to do...

do i need to jailbreak for this vers of tomtom to work????

I suggest you jailbreak the mobile!! I've just used "GreenPoison" Untethered, then installed Cydia then gone to hackulo.us and downloaded "Installous" and from there downloaded TomTom!! Works a treat! And my iPhone has the same OS and baseband as yours! TRY THAT!
