iGO Primo Europe - 2.5.5

Try putting the folder for your resolution in the data.zip and anywhere else it might be needed. Maybe you can get it from 2.5.5. Also make any entry changes in the sys.txt for your resolution. Delete the save folder. Re-start the program. See if that helps. If no one share maps then we can't update anything.

I will fiddle with it some more and see if i can edit the files or use the ones from 2.5.5 Still i miss the live traffic then for one.
Just a shame that it is currently apparently impossible to use custom maps on 2.5.5

About the updates.. i was talking about NNG Global Services Kft.
They updated the app multiple times in 2014 sometimes with the release notes that there was a map update. Yet the latest version 2.5.5 uses maps which are more than a year old. They advertise with at least 4 updates a year on their website. Apparently that doesn't count for the app versions of iGO. Kinda anoying as one can download all the current maps easily but it's impossible to use without running into the license issue.

Anyway thank you very much for your support and time!

Just wanted to say that the iOS Primo that you got from me also was crashing with the Pangu and TaiG JBs but NOT with the Evasion JB. However can't find a Evasion JB anymore.

Post your results and even better, upload your program when you get it working 100%. Thanks.

Errr... where did my reply go.. :017:

I will play some more with your app but I'm not a programmer so i doubt i will solve the crashing with TaiG JB. If i do manage somehow to achieve something worthwhile mentioning i will definitely share/post it here.
Silently i hope someone who is much more knowledgeable than me will figure it out and releases a cracked app and/or licence file(s) that allows us to use an up to date Primo app for iOS with custom maps/content.

As far as i know Evasion released JB's up to iOS 7.0.6
I'm on iOS 8.1.2 with all my devices and downgrading is impossible so i will have to do with TaiG.

Just realized i have an Android tablet somewhere.. How does iGO Primo work on Android?
I was looking at this but that seems quite complicated as it doesn't come with an explanation about what parts you need and what parts are optional. When you downloaded all the required parts where/how do you install it... Guess i have some serious reading up to do if i want to give iGO a shot on the Android platform. :)

Try using this Android Primo. Don't know if it will fill up your screen though.

Copy the program to your SD card in a folder called IGO. The double-click on the .apk to install it. What's your iPad resolution? Maybe I can help.

Resolution of the display is 2048x1536

Ok i will just copy the whole thing to the internal memory then.. i read that there are some write permission to external SDcard issues with KitKat. (sorry I'm kinda of an Android n00b and not up to date with all the developments and news , been using iOS devices for ages)

If i can bother you with another question; when you look at post #1 of this thread. What is the difference between "3IS. apk, ux, branding, IS" and "3BS. apk,ux,sys BS"? Why would one want to use one over the other? (at least i don't think you need both)

I'm also an Android novice, like you. I don't have the answers and I can't seem to find your resolution. Sorry!!!!!!! Please post your results. Maybe we can help. I'm not sure if it will work right on the internal.

KitKat by default does not allow 3rd party apps write access to the SD card, you can change this policy only if you're rooted.

How did this Primo for iOS (iPad) discussion turn to an Android thread?

That was why i was thinking about putting everything on the internal memory... for testing. Once i know it works as i want it work i can root the device and try to get it to work on the external card.

And when you had posted the Android issue on the right spot, you might have seen this : android-discussion-f174/how-install-igo-primo-android-t16295.html

Does anyone know which directory iGO stores maps downloaded later from their server?
Looks like maps that come with the downloaded app are in var/mobile/applications/iGO_Myway.app/content/map but maps downloaded later from their server do not show up in the same folder

I have downloaded & installed latest version 2.5.6 over the weekend and to my surprise this time only basemap shows up in the above folder :022:

I have downloaded the maps into the app but would like to locate and extract these maps from it to use on my car GPS also..(if I can find where they are)

by the way this is the link to latest 2.5.6 >> [Please Register or Login to download file]
